How Many Sessions? Planning a Treatment Course

October 7, 2026·4 min read·By the DayBeau Gangnam Medical Team

"How many sessions will I need?" comes up in nearly every consultation, and it is a fair question. The answer shapes cost and time and, for patients traveling from abroad, whether a plan fits one visit or several.

The honest answer differs by treatment, because treatments differ in how they work. Some are planned as a single visit. Others work by asking the skin to respond, and that response is built across more than one session.

Why do some treatments need more than one session?

Treatments that work through the skin's own processes tend to be planned as a series. Juvelook is used gradually, so change in density and firmness is not all at once. Rejuran is also planned as a series, and change varies by person.

In those cases the change is gradual by design. With Rejuran, texture and resilience changes, if any, appear gradually as the series progresses — the result is read across the course, not after the first visit.

How many sessions do skin boosters usually take?

Our treatment pages give the patterns we usually plan around. Juvelook is typically 2–3 sessions at 3–4 week intervals, adjusted to your skin condition. Rejuran Healer is typically a series at 2–4 week intervals.

Re2O and CellREDM are recommended as a series at 2–4 week intervals. Many skin boosters are recommended as a short series, and collagen boosters are often a short series too, depending on product and goal. Exosome Skin Therapy may be recommended as a series or paired with other procedures. We look at how two of these differ in our piece on Rejuran and Re2O.

The PEVS-Cell Program, our Autologous Blood-Derived Growth Factor Program, is typically spaced 2–4 weeks apart, with the number of sessions set by your doctor.

Is one session of a lifting treatment enough?

Often the plan starts with one. With Ultherapy Prime, the number of sessions per treatment area is set by your doctor based on your individual response.

With Sofwave, your doctor may recommend additional sessions based on your skin and goals. With Onda Lifting (use for facial contour is outside the approved purpose · at the doctor's discretion), the number of sessions is set by your doctor. With Titanium Lifting, a series of sessions is typically recommended, and the number is planned by the doctor based on your skin condition, goals, and schedule.

With the Collagen Bonding Program, the number of sessions depends on your skin condition and goals, and a repeat session may be suggested. With K-Premium Lifting, repeat sessions or combination with other treatments may be recommended. How the energies themselves differ is set out in our piece on lifting energies.

How often are lasers, Botox, and filler repeated?

Pigment and tone improvement with laser treatments is typically a series, adjusted to your concern, with the interval and repeat plan set at consultation. Potenza is often recommended as a series for pores and scars.

With facial fat dissolving, localized fat usually requires a series; the number and interval are set at consultation based on your fat distribution.

With Botox and filler, the question is less about a course and more about when to repeat. How long Botox lasts varies by area and individual, and repeat timing is advised by your doctor per area. Filler duration varies by product and area, and your doctor advises the retouch timing.

Some care is ongoing rather than a course. Medical Skincare is often recommended as ongoing care depending on goal, and how often IV therapy is given varies by purpose and condition, guided at consultation.

Can a treatment course fit into one trip to Seoul?

Sometimes, and sometimes not. A course of several sessions spaced weeks apart is longer than a one-week stay, simply by arithmetic.

This is why it helps to tell us early whether you expect to return to Seoul, and roughly when. A plan made with return visits in mind can be built as a course. A plan for one visit is built around what that visit can hold — and for some concerns, a single session may be where the plan begins.

Between visits, aftercare guidance continues in your language through your preferred channel, with follow-up check-ins and video consultations if needed.

What decides the number of sessions for me?

Not the name of the treatment. Two people having the same treatment can leave with different plans, because the number depends on skin condition, goals, the product chosen, and how the skin responds.

Results vary by individual and by series completed, which is also why a number given before anyone has seen your skin is an estimate rather than a plan.

What the Personal Consultant Session and the Doctor's Treatment Design decide

In the Personal Consultant Session, a consultant reviews your concerns, goals, and travel schedule, including whether a return visit is realistic for you.

In the Doctor's Treatment Design, your doctor confirms the treatment and how many sessions it is likely to need, and sets the order of what is planned for this visit around your departure date.

A course is not a commitment to more treatment. It is a way of matching the pace of the plan to the pace at which your skin responds.
